Years ago, I bought a beach house on a hunch. I handed the keys to a property manager and expected to sit back and collect a check. Instead, I watched it underperform for months and lost more than $50,000 finding out the hard way that hands off does not mean hands smart.
A property manager mishap I could not ignore forced me to take the keys back, mid-season. I rebuilt that listing myself: the pricing, the positioning, the guest experience, the whole operation. It went from $54,000 to just over $103,000 in three seasons.
That property became Serenity by the Sea, and the system I built to save it became the Freedom Property Formula. Since then I have grown a portfolio that reached $8 million in under two and a half years, across a partnership and my own properties, invested more than $100,000 back into my own education, and become a partner in a boutique resort in the Dominican Republic and a ground-up glamping resort in southern Utah.
I have been in short-term rentals for twelve years, since 2014. I launched my coaching programs in 2025, because I kept meeting brilliant, capable women stuck exactly where I was before that mishap: successful everywhere else in life, and completely stalled on a six-figure decision.
